Hello

This week for maths we have been learning our times table I am getting really good at my times table. I know my ones times tables, my two times tables, my three times tables, four times tables, my five times tables, my six times tables, my seven times tables, my eight times tables, nine times tables and my ten times tables.  

But, when my teacher asked me 8x8= I got stuck. I will keep learning this one.

For maths this week we read a book called one is a snail, ten is a crab.We then worked in groups to create our own version.My book was called one is a worm, ten is an octopus and a chicken. Here is my work. I hope you like it.

These are my Basic Facts results for the end of Term One.

I am working on Stage 4. I got 48 out of 60.

I need to be on Stage 5 by the end of the year.

For maths we have been working in mixed ability groups to solve problems. The focus has been solving word problems using place value. We have to select the correct the correct strategy to solve the problem. I have chosen two problems to show you how I work them out.
I find addition and subtraction easy.

ASB Getwise

On Wednesday we had Marlon from ASB Get wise talking to us about saving our money, spending money on needs not wants and using invisible money ie eftpos. I have made a google draw to show what I have learnt. I liked learning about how to use money.
